Verkada

Camera Products & Features

Cameras and surveillance systems can not only deter crimes in your place of business and monitor real-time safety risks, but they can also provide evidence to law enforcement if it comes time to prosecute an event. Verkada is now offering a few new products to consider as you strengthen your workplace security heading into the new year.

Next Generation Fisheye Cameras

The Next-generation Fisheye (CF83-E) and PTZ (CP63-E) cameras provide industry-leading image quality during both day and night, as well as during inclement weather, meaning your business is covered around the clock and in any condition. This is all done with a simple, intuitive installation experience. They both contain the latest Ambarella processing chip (the CV7x), larger image sensors, and new optical lenses. The newest PTZ has 4K resolution.

New Mini Split Camera

If your workplace has tight spaces or requires discretion, the new mini split camera CM42-S may be the new product for your business. The mini split camera has a small form factor and split design and is built for a variety of deployments. For instance, this product is ideal for placement inside an ATM or locations within a retail environment where subtlety is needed.

AI Alerting

Using AI Alerting provides a unique option after an incident when a law enforcement investigation is required. The time it will take to search video footage and find distinguishing characteristics will be reduced from days and weeks down to hours and minutes using AI Alerting. Using this new product, it is possible to create alerts based on AI-powered search queries. For instance, one can create an alert for "person not wearing a safety vest" or "blue Tesla with tinted windows" thus greatly expanding the power of alerting capabilities and allowing organizations to be even more proactive. Imagine being able to identify a car, criminal or specific footage within a short time after an incident. Increased response time makes positive outcomes a reality.

Access Control Features

Access controls do a fantastic job of preventing unauthorized access to certain sensitive and high-value areas of workplaces. By monitoring the number of people who can gain entrance to certain areas, business assets and sensitive information is protected.

Door Readers

Verkada recently announced its fourth-generation Door Reader AD64. This newest version offers improved credential scan performance, Bluetooth Intent Unlock, and a premium industrial design. The latest version also provides a keypad giving businesses the option to use PIN codes as an additional form of access credential or as two-factor authentication for extra security.  This option is a great choice for businesses that frequently need to grant access to users such as delivery drivers or contractors. Providing a keycode to enter a building can be a simple and convenient alternative to cards or mobile credentials.

Mobile NFC on Android Devices

Android users rejoice! Verkada's Mobile NFC feature for Androids allows Android users to unlock doors by tapping their phone against a Verkada reader, making entrance more efficient and secure.

EV3 Fobs

Beginning December 3, 2024, Verkada will offer DESFire EV3 encrypted fobs as an additional credential type.

Sensor Products & Features

Verkada introduces three pre-built integrations to send sensor event alerts to the following third-party video management systems: Milestone XProtect, Wisenet WAVE, and exacqVision.

Workplace Updates

Security is an ever-evolving issue in organizations across the country. Verkada is constantly innovating and updating our technology to make it even more robust. Here are a few of the latest Workplace updates that may interest you when considering strengthening security.

Face Pass

Looking to make it more convenient for frequent visitors to your workplace to gain entrance? Return visitors and guests including regular clients and vendors can check in using facial recognition for a faster check-in experience. Face Pass allows guests who frequently visit your business to have a simplified check-in procedure. The Pass works as follows: Face Pass uses facial recognition technology to expedite check-ins for returning visitors who have opted in. The guest simply indicates they are a returning visitor on the screen, triggering the tablet to perform a facial scan. Once a positive face ID is confirmed, a new badge will be printed for the visit.

Questionnaires Update

Verkada now offers a customizable check-in system for guests based on the purpose of their visit. Questionnaires support conditional logic to help capture relevant guest information depending on the reason for their visit. It is possible to create a questionnaire that asks a follow-up question in the sign-in flow based on a visitor's answer to a previous question they answered. For example, if a visitor responds "yes" to a question of whether they have allergies, a follow-up question can be asked about what kinds of allergies.

Customizable Badge Designs

Make it easier to identify visitors based on the type of badge design they receive at entry. It is now possible to customize badge designs based on sign-in flow answers. For example, badges might feature different colors or designs to indicate a guest has access to specific areas or has special requirements.
